Intimacy. The word conjures up many associations from kissing, cuddling and holding hands to sex and the emotional closeness we feel with a special other. Unfortunately intimacy, while much desired, is not always so easy to create and sustain. Many factors can get in the way of a satisfying intimate life. These factors include:
- Low sex drive
- Erectile dysfunction
- Premature ejaculation
- Poor body image
- Diminished passion
- Health challenges including pain and hormonal issues
- Stress and Fatigue
- Porn addiction
- Past sexual and relational trauma
- Depression and anxiety
- Affair recovery
- Relationship issues including resentment
As a therapist, I provide a warm, non-judgmental space where individuals and couples can safely and openly work on issues around intimacy. I understand these topics can feel difficult and embarrassing to discuss. I strive to reduce the discomfort, facilitate openness and most clients report a sense of relief and hope after their first appointment.
